What is the UBC neighborhood?
The UBC Vancouver neighborhood comprises a lively university campus with surrounding villages and developments. Located on the west side of Vancouver, UBC is situated on the vast indigenous landscape of the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people which is surrounded by ocean and shadowed by Vancouver’s north shore.
UBC Campus
Explore UBC and embrace the vibrant student atmosphere alongside the extraordinary scenery whilst staying on campus. UBC’s campus is home to a variety of museums and attractions which will allow you to explore and develop your knowledge of nature, animals, history and much more. Additionally, convenience stores and service businesses are also situated here. The central campus location makes it accessible for any hotel guest or commuter, with the UBC bus loop just steps away. Wesbrook Village
Wesbrook Village is a peaceful residential neighborhood which offers many restaurants, café and shops. Located on the south side of UBC, Wesbrook Village takes approximately 5 minutes to drive, 8 minutes on public transport or a 30 minute to walk from our hotel accommodations. It’s a great place to visit for a bite to eat or drink after exploring UBC’s Botanical Gardens or Pacific Spirit Park.
University Village
University Village is located a short distance from campus, north of Wesbrook Mall. It features a food court with international food options, small markets and grocers, and a variety of shops which make it a great ‘grab-n-go’ stop. There is also a gym and small park. The University Village is only a short distance from West Coast Suites and Gage Suites.
Leləm̓ Village
The Leləm̓ Village is a brand new development a short walk east from campus. Its Musqueam design and mission is to create an inclusive and respectful community which is imbued with the meaning of home. It offers an all-inclusive way of living surrounded by nature and convenience, including a range of urban amenities, public plazas, green space and encompassing Musqueam culture and art.
