DaBao
Specializing in bao, dim sum, tarts, buns, and bubble tea, DaBao provides delicious and quick-service meals that are perfect for those who need on-the-go meals.
They’ve partnered with Kam Wai Dim Sum to offer authentic bao and dim sum items, and Pine House Bakery for all your favourite tarts, buns, and rolls. They also offer a wide range of bubble teas through Pearl Fever, as well as taro, sesame, and coconut lattes, along with espresso drinks.
ARC Fitness Centre
Don’t want to miss your workout? Enjoy UBC’s newest fitness centre, located in the freshly-renovated UBC Life Building (the former Student Union Building). This spacious facility has everything you need.

Wreck Beach
Wreck Beach is one of Vancouver’s most iconic beaches, located just off-campus in Pacific Spirit Regional Park. Keep in mind that Wreck Beach is clothing optional. Spanish Banks, Jericho and Kitsilano beaches are popular traditional beaches just a short drive or bus ride from campus.
Tower Beach
Tower Beach is a gorgeous destination for a walk in the sand or an oceanside picnic located at the north end of Point Grey in Pacific Spirit Regional Park. It is accessible via trails to the east and west of the Museum of Anthropology.
UBC Farm
The UBC Farm is a 24-hectare teaching and learning space and integrated production farm. It is open to the public throughout the year and hosts a weekly Farmers’ market on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from June to November, plus a host of other unique events and programs. Learn more >
Beaty Biodiversity Museum
A one-of-a-kind museum and must-see destination while you’re staying at UBC. Stroll through over 22,000 square feet of exhibits and displays, marvel at the 25-metre Blue Whale exhibit, or check out the beautiful living roof and patio.

Looking for a few staple items, planning to pack a picnic lunch or trying to find that perfect bottle of wine? UBC has you covered.
Pick up your grocery items at Urban Fare at Leləm̓ Village, Grocery Checkout in the AMS Nest, Hero | Harvest market at Brock Commons, or Chit Chat Enterprise in the University Village. There’s also a Save-On-Foods at Wesbrook Village.
Liquor stores on campus include the Parkway Liquor Store in the University Village and a BC Liquor Store in UBC’s Wesbrook Village.

Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is a Canadian coffee fixture with thousands of locations across the country and three here at UBC – q̓əlɬaləməcən leləm̓ (Orca House), Forest Science and David Lam. Open morning, noon, and night, Tim’s is a popular place to grab coffee, tea, muffins, donuts, sandwiches and soups. Line-ups are very common.
Great Dane Coffee
Great Dane Coffee was started in 2012 by mother and son combo, Toni and Andrew. Andrew, an alumni of UBC, missed the energy and beauty of the campus.
Their goal is to make all of their food in-house with locally sourced meat from ethical farms and to make the best possible product. And yes, it’s named after Andrew’s Great Dane, Lady.
Wildlight Kitchen & Bar
Wildlight is open from morning through night, steps from the forest and the ocean, at UBC’s Lelǝm Village minutes from Vancouver’s Point Grey neighbourhood.
