Please note: The West Coast Suites front desk is located in the main lobby of the Walter Gage residence building.
Drop-off/Parking
- If arriving via University Boulevard or 16th Avenue to UBC, take Wesbrook Mall. *Please note that due to ongoing construction on Wesbrook Mall, please arrive via University Boulevard.
- If arriving via Chancellor Boulevard, turn left onto Western Parkway, then turn right onto University Boulevard
- Turn onto Student Union Boulevard
- Proceed ahead and look for signs for West Coast Suites/Gage Residence temporary drop-off/check-in parking.
- Check-in at front desk and our staff will direct you to parking locations.
From Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
By car (~20 minutes)
- Travel east on Grant McConachie Way
- Continue over the Arthur Laing Bridge/ Southwest Marine Drive
- Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Granville Street/BC-99 and merge onto SW Marine Drive
- Turn left to stay on Southwest Marine Drive
- Continue on Southwest Marine Drive all the way to UBC as it becomes Northwest Marine Drive and then Chancellor’s Boulevard
- Turn right on Wesbrook Mall
- Turn onto Student Union Boulevard
- Proceed ahead and look for signs for West Coast Suites/Gage Residence temporary drop-off/check-in parking.
- Check-in at front desk and our staff will direct you to parking locations.
By transit
Please note: There is no direct bus service from the Vancouver International Airport.
- From YVR, take the Canada Line SkyTrain (all routes head north)
- Transfer at one of the following stations
- Oakridge Station (41 Ave. & Cambie St.): Take bus #41 or #43
- Broadway City Hall Station (Broadway & Cambie St.): Take bus #99 (B-Line)
- Olympic Village Station (4 Ave. & Cambie St.): Take bus #84
- Arrive at UBC (UBC is final stop; all buses stop within a 5 minute walk of the West Coast Suites).
From Downtown
By transit
Here are a number of different bus routes that you can take from downtown to UBC. To plan your route or find bus stop locations, use Translink’s Trip Planner or an app like Transit (for iPhone and Android).
- Express bus: #44
- Regular bus: #4 or #14
UBC is the final stop for each of these routes, which all arrive within a 5 minute walk of the West Coast Suites.
